Technical Support Engineer

Location: Portsmouth, UK (Head Office)

We're currently seeking an enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer to join our Support team.

If you’re an analytical IT professional with a strong understanding of Linux server administration, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a thriving business.

You will be joining a company dedicated to load balancing solutions, optimised for scalability, high performance and high availability.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing company with a flexible working culture. This role can be tailored to suit the right candidate, however, you must be willing to work at least 1 day of the week on a 17:00 to 23:00 shift and weekend cover on rotation (Currently 1 in 8).

As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting customers on a day-to-day basis in using the company’s cutting-edge products. The Support team do not work to KPIs, the only goal is delivering a top level experience to the customers. The company has a strong ethos of working together and encourages close working relationships between all teams.

The primary focus for the Support team is to make sure the customer is happy, which may involve helping specify and design new product features.

We're very flexible and allow our staff to spend time on research and development projects, making this the ideal role in which to build on your existing expertise.

Essential skills

  • Experience in an IT role, ideally technical or IT support
  • A strong understanding of Linux server administration
  • Networking, including knowledge of basic switches, routers, firewalls and technologies such as VLAN's
  • A great email and telephone manner

Desired skills

  • Microsoft Server technologies such as Server 2008+, Exchange 2010+, Remote Desktop Services and IIS
  • Broad technical experience with the ability to think outside the box to deliver the best solutions.

Personal qualities

  • A team player with the ability to propose new services.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership is also key.

Sales Administrator

Location: Portsmouth, UK (Head Office) & Vancouver, Canada

We're currently seeking several sales staff for our offices in Canada and the UK.

If you’re an experienced administrator, ideally having supported a sales team within an IT environment, then this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a thriving global IT company, headquartered in the United Kingdom.

You’ll need to have a good administrative working knowledge, be IT literate and must be able to multi-task and prioritise workload.

You’ll also have knowledge of invoicing, matching POs, chasing quotations, setting customer expectations, dealing with deliveries, resolving customer queries and have an excellent telephone manner. Experience of working in a sales or an IT organisation would be a bonus.

There is no hard sales aspect to this role - it’s administration based, dealing with existing customers and prospects that approach us - this is definitely not a call centre environment or a telemarketing based role.
